Benefits of Blogging

The Benefits of Blogging.

Adobe Flash LogoBlogging, blogging, blogging. You hear us say how important it is for you to blog. But you think, what is a blog and who has time for it? And why should I blog, anyway? Many of you don’t blog because you don’t have a blog, or because you don’t see how the investment of time is going to help your business. Having a frequently-updated blog can be one of your most powerful weapons in your web marketing arsenal because it can be indexed and ranked by search engines. Here we give you a simplified run-down of how some of it works so you can get the most out of your blog.

What is a blog?
Blogger puts it very simple when they say " a blog is a web site, where you write stuff on an ongoing basis. New stuff shows up at the top, so your visitors can read what's new. Then they comment on it or link to it or email you. Or not."

Content on your blog can be beefed up with search engine keywords.
Say you have a website with 10 pages that have been optimized with keywords. Suppose you consistently blog once a month for one year. Now you have an additional 12 pages in the search engines that will point to your website. Having a lot of posts with quality content involving keywords helps you to be found in search engines.

Newest Site: Country Butler

We didn't manage to get a picture of Country Butler's old site, but here we debut the new one!
This website was a little unconventional from most lodging websites in that it was a website about lodging as well as property management services. That meant we set the home page up a little differently than usual. Congrats on going live!

System Update

Greetings from BnBwebsites!

We are proud to announce a system update to our CMS (Content Management System). This update brings new features as well as a facelift to the look and feel of the CMS. Since some functions have changed (such as adding a page or a photo), we have provided a few training videos to help you navigate the new look. To access the training videos, go to

New Features:
  • Pages:  The Navigation icon has been expanded to give you more versatility in page management.
  • File Management and Repository:  Upload and manage your photos with the new file manager, called “Files.” Create folders for each page in the file manager to keep photos and documents organized.
  • Content Restore Feature:  Restore an earlier version of a module (if you made a change but want to revert to a previous version).
  • Page Publishing:  Create a page without it being published to the web and publish it when it is ready. No more creating live pages instantly.

As always, if you have any questions or needs to be addressed, give us a call or shoot us an email and we would love to help.
